Christoph Theile has published his first book. Together with 59 authors, it deals with the most current topics in the field of business.
... these are the topics of the new book "Führungskraft Emotion", which Christoph Theile has written together with many other authors. It is about the role of emotions in business and how we can deal with them. Here is a small excerpt from the book:
We have a pretty good education system in Germany. We learn math, computer science, geography, chemistry, music, English, Spanish, Japanese and even Chinese. We know our way around Office software and perhaps even know how to program a website. But we have learned absolutely nothing about what makes us human beings at our very core. No one has taught us how we should and can deal with our emotions and feelings.
We see where this leads time and again in small and large examples of everyday life. When politicians go off the rails, when demonstrators seem to lose their minds before taking part and simply shout out their slogans and fears in a senseless, emotionally exuberant manner, when soccer fans aggressively attack each other.
We need sound emotional education in Germany. The Scandinavians have long been a role model in this respect. In Denmark, empathy was introduced as a school subject many years ago. Children there learn to solve emotional problems together at a young age. They learn that community is a much stronger force than tackling problems alone. There are also good approaches in Germany with the "Faustlos" program, which is offered at some elementary school. Unfortunately, there are hardly any secondary schools with this program because the teachers there often lack the necessary training. How are people supposed to deal confidently with their worries, fears and other emotional outbursts in small and large crises if they have never learned what their emotions and feelings are doing to them? ...
